Despite the overwhelming interest in "day trading" and live data feeds, successful trading is built on a basis of long term price history, so regardless of the trading time frame, its necessary to include an end-of-day data service.
Compatible with numerous charting programs Norgate Investor Services offer an extensive easy-to-manage data service, with excellent recovery set-ups. Separate history and program installers are always available for subscribers in the event of hard-drive failure, virus attack, machine upgrade etc.

Choice of markets traded will impact live data providers. Zen-fire, and CQG provide reliable, non-filtered tick data.



For end-of-day charts I use Metastock 11 in conjunction with Norgate's Premium Data for Stocks and DataTools for Futures data

Nothing to my knowledge is easier in terms of constructing and managing watchlists, favourites, market sectors etc.




NinjaTrader is considered an industry standard for intraday trading.

It can import the long data histories provided by Norgate Investor Services

Using the multi-broker version of  allows me to connect simultaneously to a live tick data provide and also my broker, Interactive Brokers, so that I can place trades from the chart - a method I find easier than typing prices into a DOM.
